Annual fund-raiser helps restoration
at Glidden Homestead

The annual Patent Day Dinner attracted about 90 supporters Nov. 2, 2006, at
Hopkins Park Community Center, DeKalb. At left above, Jim Morel, president of
the Joseph F. Glidden Homestead board of directors, describes recent restoration
work at the Homestead through a Power Point program. At right, he recognizes
Barry Schrader for portraying Joseph F. Glidden on the Homestead's float in
DeKalb's Sesquicentennial Parade Oct. 22.

Holiday Open House and Antique Toy Show
Sunday, Dec. 3, noon-4 p.m., at the
Glidden Homestead, 921 W. Lincoln Hwy.,
DeKalb. At right are some of the items
offered for sale by the Homestead,
including barbed wire wreaths, lengths
of barbed wire samples and literature.
